New luxury canvas lodges with hot-tubs for Spring 2009
This is what we call camping
In spring 2008 we are opening our new canvas lodges. Pentre Mawr is the first place in the UK to take camping to such a luxurious level, with oak floors, full bathrooms with freestanding baths and showers, super king size leather beds, fully heated and each having a deck with it's own hot tub. And of course most of all the use of the main house, swimming pool and restaurant for our sumptuous food.
AA Award 5 Stars and a Rosette for 2008/9
On October 7th we were invited to St David's Hotel in Cardiff Bay for annual Welsh awards. We received the award for
Best Guest Accommodation
in Wales for 2004, for which we were delighted. Sir Rocco Forte present our award which was a watercolour of the house.
A very Special invitation
There was great excitement at Sychnant Pass when the postman delivered this. Diets and exercise plans are all the rage and there are big discussions about frocks and such. More details after the big event. Needless to say we are very honoured and delighted to be included in this lovely event.

We had the most marvellous visit which just flew past. We were treated like royalty and met the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra.
I was delight to be able to drive through the arches into the inner courtyard. We were met by the palace staff in the throne room and provided with a program and badges. We were one of only six couples invited and there was about six hundred guests but met some folk we knew which was great. We were given drinks and nibbles (lovely) and the Royal Family mingled with their guests and made us feel very relaxed. They had spent the day at other engagements to do with the Tourism Industry and still appeared to be fresh and interested. We sometimes think our job is hard but when we spoke to their staff were told how hard they work we decided that we have the easier option. It was all over too fast but we have wonderful memories.
The Booker Prize 2002

the lovely people from Booker took us to Italy
